“Music of Memphis” will be on display January 6, 2012 through February 1, 2012, in the Goodwyn Gallery at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library. Franklin’s newest works colorfully express the “Music of Memphis” through instruments from jazz ensembles with drums to a classical illustration on violin.
Local artist Emery Franklin is no stranger to the Mid-South. The native Memphian grew up in South Memphis and attended Vance Junior High School, where he developed his artistic talents. Emery Franklin’s artworks have been featured in local art galleries, offices, and homes throughout the United States.
